Can I volunteer at Hendricks Humane?
Yes, but if you want to be hands on with dogs and cats, we suggest you contact Hendricks County Animal Shelter, Misty Eyes Animal Rescue, Creekside Animal Rescue or other rescues for volunteer opportunities. We need adult volunteers for pet food pantry, fundraising, marketing, and periodic building cleaning. See our Volunteer page http://www.hendrickshumane.org/volunteers.html for more information.

What is Chip & Clip?
Low-cost nail trims for dogs and cats, plus nail caps option for cats, are available by appointment only, on the second Sunday of the month. Low-cost microchipping is also available by appointment only. Call us at 317-745-3338 for questions and to make an appointment.
How do I donate Pet food?
Our pet food pantry is always in need of dry and canned food for adult dogs and adult cats. On Wednesdays from 1pm - 6pm, donations can be given to volunteers at the building, this is preferable to ensure donations are properly stored. Other times donations can be left on the

What do my monetary donations go towards?
The majority of monetary donations support the services we provide to pet owners of Hendricks County residents. We employ one employee on a part-time basis who spends the majority of her time providing the services and overseeing the volunteers who help provide the services.
